Tie down your cargo? I thought the strand weapon was only for mules?
No new structures, no new weapons, nothing new.
--
It's not a problem because I wanted to play the game again
In the OG version you would be correct. As for Directors Cut, the strand can be use to "lash your load" to a floating carrier, etc.
Equip and prepare strand and then face your floating carrier, press "fire" and watch Sam tie his load to the floating carrier, etc. The ETC is for you to find.
Okay, but that is objectively wrong. There are new weapons. There are new combat moves. There are new structures. You are on the Chiral artist/ Junk dealer quest, right?
Yes
I enjoyed the jump attacks btw, but so far it's basically the same as the base game. I started a new game exactly to get the best experience with the stuff they added + play the game again with my new PC (I had frame drops to 20 fps before)
Yes the base game is essentially the same. The jump attacks are pretty awesome. The new stuff is spread across the game. Like the Jump ramps.
Whut? I think I'm about 60 hours in... I do recall it being (briefly) mentioned in a bit of dialogue thinking about it, but I didn't think you could actually do it
Apologies if my initial comment sounded sarcastic. It wasn't intended. It was more surprise.
I will be honest, I found it by accident in my first few hours of playing DC version. As a mechanic to make life easier, I would consider that the biggest quality of life improvement. Seriously, once the kit is lashed down, then mule spears will take two attacks to remove cargo off your carrier. First one that hits, breaks the strand binding and the second hit then removes gear off your floating carrier. Like I say there are more uses than that - support bot, trike trailer (my favourite new vehicle) - it's a useful mechanic.
Yes it makes the game a touch easier but then it was, in my humble opinion, an oversight not including that feature in the base game.
Monsters just disappeared in the classic version a few days ago. Now it's the Porter's Drink or something like that.
That makes sense. Thanks! I'm enjoying the classic version so far. Already 60h in.
Then I guess what needed to be done is have a better manual in game haha
This?? Well, that's pointless, at least for me. Long before unlocking the carrier, I was already stealing MULEs' trucks. So once I unlocked it, it was pointless.

That's weird. In 2 different ways. So you complete a quest and then the sponsorship drink automatically is switched to beer and beer IRL wouldn't ever give you 25% more stamina. If anything, it would give you less. lol
How do I get back Monsters energy drink? I did a quick research and one guy said you have to keep drinking the beer and eventually the Monsters are back. Is that it?
