Is the upgrade to the Director's Cut worth it?
Any feedback on this?

It does that? Then I might just play the original

Got it free on Epic today, played for a bit. Not rly sure what it adds but i got a few popups that i unlocked some items in-game. Dunno what the above post about the framerate means. Runs smooth as butter and looks more impressive than i expected.

Honestly all Directors Cut does is add some quality of life updates like Ultrawide uncapped FPS, new structures to build, more fun activities, new areas to explore, and a training rooms that are similar to MGS VR missions.

Strange that quality of life improvements are behind a paywall. It'd make more sense for cosmetics and/or quests to be hidden behind such a moneygrab. Having to pay more to play a technically better version is odd.

It's not just quality of life or cosmetics. And there are no massive games changing things either. A few things that make early game easier - like tying down a load so it doesn't fall off bikes and floating carriers. There are a few extra missions, a few new weapons. No new preppers.

Look, the OG death stranding is a ps4 port. Directors cuts is a ps5 port.
For $5, yes.

Also, it has a bit better graphics in some objects. It also has Intel XeSS upscaling AND FSR 1.0 / 2.0

I have played both and the graphics updates are - marginal? Okay FSR and XeSS has been added but I use an rtx card so neither of those things affect the way that I play the game.

Oh so we got the Directions Cut version for free on EPIC today? I wasn't sure whether it was the original or DC version.

Yeh, the DC was available for about 2 minutes. Just reloaded the page 10 times and was able to claim it.

Except until epic fixes their shop it's not even buyable. Cause of their bug I technically own the DC but can't install or play it. I also have 3 addons i can't install.
The add ons are just the sound track or art pack or something

you just go to your library and the game is is two -one for the 3 DLC and the other for the main game. You click on the one for the 3 DLC (top right icon of the place holder) and it's separate. CLick on it and it opens directly to the folder on your HD.

The game plays as smoooooooooth as butter. and the graphics!!!
