Why is it stuttering on YOUR system.
It is butter smooth to me, but if I mention my specs it’s just going to look like I’m flexing.
1080p is very CPU dependent. The first thing I’d make sure of is not to have any non-necessary background software constantly using CPU resources. And all the usual stuff like drivers, updates, etc. I’ve been benchmarking my new build for over 2 weeks. I can tell you the most surprising thing is the minor differences background tasks can make. And if you dare to experiment with, you could also try raising the game’s CPU priority level, but most people will warn you not to.
100+ FPS during driving, with ultra settings, DLSS on, Ray tracing off, motion blur and depth of field off. On a 2560 x 1080p screen.
No stuttering at all.
I mean its exactly the same game with a few extra tools, and yet they fail to maintain same performance as original game or even slightly better.
This concern is about why DC version runs noticeable worse then Original, I have placed a ticket about this on 505 website, their recent update which was about 30+gb did not solve anything at all about main concern of this game.
Death Stranding cpu overcomsumption compared to other games like reddead 2 or batman arkham knight is just not good, they should have fixed that for the DC version, they did fix it for ps5 cuz it runs great on that hardware, but pc development as you can see is just lazy and extremely bad, i mean they had plenty of time to fix this crappy issue.
People screaming it runs butter smooth, you should not be here, this is about why the original runs much better then DC, if you have not compared both, and yet scream DC version runs butter smooth, you dont know what you are talking about, please stay away from this topic because you dont contribute at all to the core concern.
You should read properly, the concern is that there is a huge fps drop in DC, i mean its pretty simple to test this and arive with a clear conclusion if you test both game versions in a specific region, for me it was near the distribution centre and Mountain knotcity.
You also said this; Why is it stuttering on YOUR system to OP, i mean at this point if you think like this your benchmark and nd whatever your doing is useless, cuz you did not botter to test the original and that is a big flag, the correct question is; Why is DC underperforming with serious double digits compared to OG.
In short you ignore to take the OG game as basic to come up with awnsers and better understanding, instead you complicate things that are not relevant nd have nothing logical about it. You should think twice nd use your brains.
I have over 270 hours in the OG.
The DC I haven’t even left the east coast, and I’ve barely started the game. I didn’t import my last game since I wanted a fresh start.
Standing at the watch tower at Capital Knot looking at the mountains, I get about 200fps on both versions with quality DLSS running almost 1440p. If there is a frame loss of some sort, it’s either not happening to me or not in this area. So I’ll keep playing a while to compare the games in the next region.
ahaha i like you bro, sorry if i was a bit rude my bad. But your right, I would also normally start fresh, but I had to verify if the game was running as good or better, so i ported my save data, and after 6 hours testing the dc with my 100 % completion of 256 hours save content, I was really dissapointed and did not touch DC untill this performance concern is fixed properly.
But im not sure who is responsible for the DC development on pc, not sure if its KojiPro or 505.
As “convenient” as they want to be, I’m not trusting a conversion. I mean lets put this into perspective. Years have past, and they NEVER made a proper resolution fix for something I easily adjust myself in a damn txt file. So you think I’m going to trust a conversion from them? 🤣
