"double input" controller bug been fixed?

What it says. I don't have the director's cut, and even though m&kb is fine, I want to know if the "multiple inputs from one button press" controller issue is fixed. Finally. After the non-dc's entire run without it being fixed.

Not fixed sadly. But the solution is still the same, plugging in/turning on the controller when the game is started/the savegame is loaded and it's fine.

With a xbox 360 I had this bug on non-dc but when I switched to xbox series controller, the bug was gone

did you have steam input enabled for your xbone controller?
if so that'd be the reason; the official steam input configuration for xbone controllers isn't prone to the double-input issue

it's not necessarily a viable solution for other controllers, but there's no real good reason for anybody with an xbone controller to have to unplug it every single time they boot the game when steam literally provides you with the tools necessary to fix it

I switched from my old 360 pad to an xbox one recently and it still happens, even with a USB connection instead of bluetooth.

true, this isnt even exclusive to death stranding but most games that have native controller support. always check if your controller gets picked up with all steam controller support checkmarks disabled

No my steam input is disabled on my main gaming computer, and it was the only game I had this issue

No my steam input is disabled on my main gaming computer, and it was the only game I had this issue

hidhide software could help in some cases. see if the issue persists with every controller disabled, or have just 1
