For the Gods sake, Demense is Not DOMAIN.
It means the same/similar, but if your text says Demense, your Voice actors Better ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ say Demense. Say what is Written.

It's entirely possible you're a bit too tightly wound this morning.

Maybe a day or two of decaf is in order.

You apparently don't even know how to spell demesne.

Also demesne and domain sound nearly the same, who cares.

They are pronounced nearly the same, and largely reference the same concept. This thread is the absolute definition of nitpicking.

...the word is literally pronounce almost exactly like domain. It is a "duh" instead of "do" sound. It is NOT pronounced "mense", it is pronounced pretty close to "main". It is a French bastardization.

It is pronounced exactly the same. Technically in modern English they're the same word; middle English distinguished between demain and domain but the great vowel shift obliterated the distinction between the 'de' and 'do'.

Eh, I suppose what I'm truly asking for if their going to write in Middle english, they should Speak it, I want the "ye" and the "thy" and "thou" It feels wrong to see it written one way and pronounced Modernly.. Very very wrong.

It...isn't an English word...Adopted usage as a borrowed word doesn't make it an English word. Just like patio is used in English, but is still Spanish. The word came from domus, which went into French as domicile, but demense was bastardized with the "duh". I mean, unless all 3 of my history professors on the subject were wrong. The word is "duh-main" or "deh-main". Or close enough.

Ye is also not pronounced "ye", but "the". The "y" was not the letter y, but a way to write the letter "thorn" (þ) in cursive

is it suppose to be like "DehMehn" as opposed to "Doh-Maynn"?

Close. You know how people from Des Moines pronounce the the "des"? Like that. Kind of in between deh and duh. Unless you are using the word in its original language, Occitan, then it is more dee-main. But that is...medievalist pedantry.
