Any game like this?
I'd say unicorn overlord looks and feels very similar, but I want PC. Damn shame alot of these releases are only on switch / PS5

Disgaea series
Super Robot Wars series
Tactics Ogre
XCOM
Utawarerumono (more story heavy even compared with Triangle which is already one of the heavier on story in the genre)
Digimon Survive (Similarly story heavy)
Fell Seal

There are likely a bunch of other games as well, I would just google tactical RPG games or games like Triangle Strategy.

Fell Seal is a pretty great tactical RPG.

Could always Emulate, there's tons of PS1/PS2/PS3 era games that are fantastic.

Final Fantasy Tactics is top tier if you've never played that. I'd emulate the War of the Lions PSP version.

I played the unicorn overlord demo. The story looks like it will be good but the combat is reminding me of the last remnant. Its that set your group up but they don't do exactly what u tell them. They have like 5 abilities or so and they use what they think is the best according to them. I don't get down with that if I want to be healed I want it right then don't wait till its dire or to late and I have no say so in it.

There is extensive skill customization in Unicorn Overlord. You can set specific conditions and priorities on any skill, active or passive. The game is more about creating units that work in niche cases or in the general situations. It's for sure more of an RTS than an RPG.

But I can totally understand why some wouldn't jibe well with the more hands off combat.

Sword of Convallaria has a demo and is coming out at some point this year. I haven't played it yet but it looks similar

Hmm..... I got one for ya. Try.....

(Pokemon Conquest)

(final fantasy tactics advance) or (final fantasy tactics advance 2) Just don't expect those 2 games to be better then original final fantasy tactics game. If you play original.

Unless you don't have any money to buy a DS and game it self.

You going find your self downloading DS emulator and download DS games to play this game.

Slim pickings for good quality srpgs in general. By good quality, I mean polished from gameplay to even production.

Since you say PC only and disregarding you already played XCOM 2, I am going to list the best, tactical srpgs with POLISH for PC.

#1 XCOM 2, still the king.
#2 Tactics Ogre Reborn - more depth and customization
#3 Triangle Strategy - A bit too easy on standard. I gave tactics 8.5, Triangle 7.9 when I played them on release side by side so I could compare. It's been awhile since I played both, but that was my initial rating.
#4 Valkyria Chronicles 1 (havent played 4)
#5 Nothing else.

There are titles like Troubleshooter or fell seal or symphony of war, but those are games...that are rough despite being "good." If I am going to be playing a game, especially tactical rpg where I will be sinking in many hours in to it, I want to enjoy all aspects. Presentation being one of them.

It's a shame as you say Unicorn overlord isn't on PC, but I would rank UO #2 or #3 all time behind XCOM and maybe whatever Fire Emblem I feeling is the best that day.

UO is really damn good, you can technically play it on PC with gamepass. So give it a try that route if you can.

I have played nearly every tactical rpg out there besides Final Fantasy tactics. Some might say thats blasphemy, but one day I will.
