Sort of like in Battlefield, when going prone or holding breath increases accuracy.. not just 'having the crosshair over a target'.. some gamers don't "get it"... (but my cross hairs where on them.. why didn't they drop?" - not factoring range to target or a slew of variables that actually would affect a chance to hit.. eg running and blind firing from the hip... (but my crosshair was over their head.. how come 'they cheated' and killed me quicker when we were both doing headshots? when the other player is couching with the appropirate weapon and taking their time to 'line up the shot')
Semantics arguments then become.. but this isn't a multiplayer shooter... (whingers gotta whinge)..
given the r18+ age rating,.. and the intellectual property extending to the 1970s- having a game that supports 'adult' playstyle is actually super healthy for the VR market.
but 'yes' limited/niche market when we factor headset sales, and so.. widening the number of players who can enjoy the game in the VR space is quite easy via a few customisations.
I really like the motion tracker NOT beeping when stowed away.
I do feel, having trialed the toggle hold,.. not as well implemented as done in LEgendary Tales.. which works well when using.. and suits long play sessions.
I had a quick session the other day (alright 50minutes!) where I was all fumbles and just ket dropping things due to not being able to squeeze the buttons hard or long enough.
Mr Fumbles!
A slight variation on the implementation, ie 'progressive finger mapping to replace the initial hold (via button) and that would serve me well.. basically what LEgendary Tales has. PRobably what gamers wanted,.. and didn't realise that toggle hold isn't equal in all products.
Hopefully this point can be raised respectfully, as the team certainly ARE listening and working around the clock, it seems, to keep giving players the agency they seek.
The improvements in this patch, again with undocumented improvements (I am not playing on insane, having 'not completed the game', and this is a huge win for gameplay variation and longevity .. although we could also argue it nullified my 'need' to complete the game to 'get this capability'.
Some businesses would have kept it locked away, if only to increase the statistics of people pushing to the end to unlock.
The fact that Survios dont do things for them, but, in service to 'others' (we the punters) is just brilliant.
Very rare to find such top tier customer service nowadays.. certainly AFTER they get out money.
eg Hogwarts Legacy still has day one issues in Ultra mode on PC, and even put out an 'end of life patch' to decimate the game to force gamers to move on.. (a hotfix that was an add for their next product, a week prior to Quidditch launch.. and made GPUs not use 3GB of VRAM, and basically run really poorly on systems that were previously Ultra and flawless'
heck Skyrim on Switch has a floating house next to Whiterun. (on PC it was a community patch that fixed that immersion breaking oversight.
Survios will get more purchases from me, and rather than my families typical wait a year for a sale,.. will be day one and/or preorders. (something we seldom if EVER do in 'the modern world')
Survios serve. (their name says it all)
And WhiteDragon, lay off the koolaid dude. Calm down.
If that so I would glady buy again alien togue incursion, it was just unbearable for me
It is optional now.
And the feeling with guns is just like any other fps or is it not exacty the same ?
I am not sure what you mean about feeling, but you can turn off ADS as well.
I hadn't considered doing this.. but am finding that AimDownSights is holding me back on Insane..
As a kid I had two light guns on my playstation, and would practice Point Blank (arcade mini game shooter) untiil I could shoot Apples from peoples' head 'from the hip'.
Got good enough to 50/50 hit them on Hard mode too.
learned it is a calibration (to our mind) that can easily, with a few training shots, be figured out.
after awhile it becomes muscle memory (to the distance of the TV screen maybe..)
In VR space,.. being able to hold a gun away from me and shoot accurately due to my brain calculating the 'math' is important.
When I realised PistolWhip had to be 'sticky targeting me' somewhat.. with my dual wielding play sessions I was disappointed.
I thought years of training had stuck with me..
how does an analogue weapon figure out my eyeline is working.. (actually I suppose a safety feature of future weapons would want this tech)
okay.. sci fi explanation 'acceptible'.
ADS I 'might' turn off.. but weapon weight.. ? (no way)
I love that Survios went FULL Re-configuration on us. (Robert Downey Jnr be proud,.. of man.. what was that movie called?)
