I put up a threadpost yesterday explaining that the GPU is not 'the weakest link', and the games uses the CPU and VRAM to nullify weak platforms GPUs.
most users with 'borderline CPUs' are probably being held back or experiencing 'poor optimisation' because their budget SSDs can easily max out TWO whole CPU cores.
Do this whilst gaming on a rig that needs the CPU for gaming.. and well.. 'frame jank happens'.
My ten year old rig (with upgraded four year old GPU and a Pro SSD) runs with incredible graphics really smoothly, reprojection free at 90 frames per second.
attacking the devlopers and the game by spewing misinformation is poor.
educate yourself on WHY flagship GPUs cannot somehow magically equal a ten year old PC box with 'much less capable' parts.. (but no bottlenecks, due to meeting the softwares needs, basically 'be as capable as a PS5' )-
I agree most VR quest ports generally ONLY lean on the GPU.
This ISN'T a low quality table tennis game.
this is Unreal Engine (nanite equals 'no observable polygons), using complex interactive physics (that remain in the environment),.. with open world indoor/outdoor areas and no in game loading ... (no other game doing this.. no other game has these requirements)..
sort out the minimums this game needs and it runs spectacularly well.
Maybe we should educate people about this?
As main objectives they could put killing the alien queen and blowing up the xeno-infested hive with a bomb, because that's the only way to be sure.
adding more weapons like a flamethrower, a smartgun, a semi-automatic pistol and the classic turrets from the James Cameron movie.
a higher difficulty, with no option to modify.
2 NEW enemies
the alien runner from the 3rd movie is smaller than a normal alien, less resistant to weapon impacts but very fast and agile and inflicts moderate damage.
A normal-sized alien with a large acid storage capacity inside it, which when it dies, the acid's range radius is higher, leaving the marine with practically only one life bar.
devs GIVE ME THIS DLC and I'll buy it for whatever price you want
They just likely want to fix and polish what they can with current ports. Plus finish and do the same with a Quest 3 version.
Then they will move to work on Part II where likely we will face combat synths and the Queen herself.
