Quest 3 Hand tracking
As title says, does this game support quest 3's hand tracking feature? Would be pretty interesting to play this game on the quest 3 with full hand tracking features...

Well Steam Link does have hand tracking passthrough now. There's no official support by the game itself that goes beyond that as far as I'm aware.

Pretty weird, don't you think? One would think that the game would have support for it. On paper it's a pretty cool feature, so why not? Plus, the player will save some money on controllers, since he will be able to just use his hands as the controllers, right?

It would be problematic because a player has already controllers in their hands. Thus the issue is that they have to put away them to use this feature. Also having something physical and reactive in hands is better for immersion and feeling than some pantomime in the air.

Eh. I'd rather have the hand-tracking, to be honest, and spend that hundred buxx on something else. But to each their own, I supppose...

The game does have handtracking but I can't imagine playing with it

How does it work in it?

It just has basic hand tracking support. I was able to use my hands, grab things and grab my weapon off my back but it felt very clunky and hard to use.

But it was done by Quest software like an emulation of some controller functions?

the Quest 3 handtracking isn't suitable for games like this imo

It could be, if the devs felt like implementing it in the game properly. Saying "this game" or "that game" isn't really "suited" for this feature, or that feature, is just lazy.

Ok, how this game is suited for this feature?

I don't know, I haven't played it, have I? That's for the developers to find out, not me.

But if Survios fails to find out, then they are lazy? Is this correct?

Yes. This is their job, not mine or the community's. Their potential failures are their own, not ours. They have no right to outsource the problems to the community and demand and expect them to fix their problems. This is how things work when you are an adult. I know the opposite has become the norm in the gaming world now, but that's just not how it's properly done.
