Quest 1 headset?

Can i use the 1st Quest headset? I have played and enjoyed games like Bone Works and HL Alyx via the Quest Link USB cable.

Yes it works. Just tested it out
No problem playing it. Just need to get used to playing VR again as i feel sick after 40 odd minutes. Playing it seated.

Plus it's oled so colors and shadows are going to be awesome if it runs. I haven't busted out the q1 in a while. Might be fun.

i think there was a setting i enabled when my headset asked me to allow my pc to link to my headset. I think it was Quest Runtime or something in the settings then went to desktop mode on my headset to allow me to see my pc desktop and steam app running and clicked play, left at default setting around about medium, high. Changed controls to smooth when rotating looking about.

hi i am wondering how anyone got this game working i have oculus quest 2 and have steam vr steam link and see it on the headset but it is all black when i try to use itn or it just sends me to the screen with the lines and i see my own room im in.

I don't think that the game works with Steam Link, the devs recommended to either use Virtual Desktop set to VDXR or AirLink with the OpenXR runtime.

I am using Virtual Desktop with VDXR on Quest 3 and I haven't had any crashes or black screens.

i have both steam and oculus desktop app (Meta Quest Link) running, when i connect my Oculus 1 headset to desktop with a usb cable in usb 3 slot i have to give permission for the pc to access Headset which i select yes. i then select desktop mode on my headset that allows me to see my desktop. Also under oculus setting you have to select the oculus runtime or something, not sure of the name but that what i selected. Might be under oculus desktop app settings (Meta Quest Link). I then click play on the game on steam.
I just need to fin out how to select recording resolution on Windows 11 game bar. Sure i could do it before.

That sounds like you have to set the game boundary first when you first turn on headest, when you step out the boundary you see your own room. Might be quicker to google it.

I have set the boundary and everything like that and have been in the room they give us but even after clicking the game from that it still is black and nothing else happens unfortunately

I will try that i have that on my pc i feel like i did everything that mom and i looked up on the internet its just frustrating cause i waited the whole year or whenever it was announced to buy this game cause i loved alien isolation and the movies
