And the game is a part 1 of larger story arc.
I agree that it was a bad choice on their side. They should just remove a "part 1" subtitle from the game and achievements/trophies.
Anyways I wonder what is planned release date for the sequel as it will likely affect other Alien IP games that are in development like rumored AFTE2 for example.
The steam page says "Alien Rogue Incursion" but their thumbnail states "Alien Rogue Incursion Part 1"
Their main web site has "Alien Rogue Incursion" but has thumbnails stating part 1alienrogueincursion[alienrogueincursion.com]
Prior to 1 day before release, there was no 'part 1' anywhere. This was a last minute decision.
If they had the sudden fortune to get heaps of extra funding or the pre-order sales went off the charts prior to 1 day before the release, then sure make a sequal.
But that isn't what happened.
1 day prior to release, they simply did not have enough time to complete the game. We already know the devs reported major crunch to get it over the line (in a buggy state). So based on the available information, we can deduce that the devs could not complete the original game and 1 day prior to release decided to split the game into 2 parts. They didn't even have enough time to change the title and instead opted to update only the thumbnails.
You are seriously coping if you believe otherwise.
It was already explained ad nauseam.
The game is called ARI and it is a part of larger story arc that is planned for two games.
ARI is still having its own story arc which is complete.
Your or anyone else's speculations won't change it.
So bring valid arguments. Otherwise you mislead people who do not know much about the game yet.
To me it is not, I am going to create a new thread where I will describe how much I am surprised that it is not a scam at all.
Do you mean all games that get sequels are scam? Even Death Stranding 2 is a scam too?
Why else would they sneakily add part one on launch day while also taking pre orders?
