If you're using SSW with Virtual Desktop, the artifacting is actually pretty minimal. It's a worthy trade off.
The game was designed around hitting 60hz (with reprojection) in the PSVR2 and it shows. It doesn't scale to 90hz very well.
Overall this game doesn't look very good. I mean, it looks fine but it doesn't look great. I've only encountered a few areas where it stuttered, but most of the time it holds up to 90fps. I was disappointed that even with the graphics cranked to ultra it still just looks 'fine'. This game could have used a few more months in the oven. After 2-3 patches this game is going to be so good.
Graphics aside, I'm enjoying this game a lot. The inventory system is only annoying when I'm trying to pick something off of the ground, otherwise I find I'm grabbing what I wanted.
I tried your suggestion and the performance was even worse tbh. Fps was better but stutters were frequent and awful.
Add -dx11 to the shortcut.
AVP was not 20fps game on Jag. It was between 10-15 and its gameplay was designed for it. Isolation does not run on UE5 and is not as action heavy.
thanks for the info
60 fps in vr is a bit motion sickness inducing. Ideally if you can reach solid 45 fps you could try using Virtual Desktop Synchronous Spacewarp to reach fake 90.
I don’t know, but everything was so blurry—especially objects that weren’t close to me. The anti-aliasing was garbage, and everything looked so jagged and rough.
There was also a significant delay that I’ve never experienced in other games I’ve played.
The alien’s movements were kind of weird and glitchy at times.
And keep in mind, all of this was from just half an hour of gameplay...
