RTX 3070, 8700k cpu, 32 gb ram, NvmE install.
I mean, my cpu is quite dated and I still was getting solid FPS and it never crashed once.
So weird that my 3070 can handle it but a 4070 can't. Your drivers are up to date, how are you playing it like what headset/method? How much ram do you have and what is your CPU? Is the game on an SSD at least?
Not sure if this applies to you, but figured others would like to know.
This is good to hear speaking as someone with a 3070ti laptop. Are you experiencing any reprojection? Also, can you provide any recommendations for optimization (lowered settings, etc)?
No I was wrong. So very wrong.
IT was okay at first but once I got a bit further into the game it went to complete ♥♥♥♥.
I was playing on low-medium with only textured and anti aliasing turned up above medium because they don't hit FPS that hard; and later on no matter the settings FPS tanked to as low as single digits for periods and resolution even on cable connection dropped till the game looked like OG doom visually.
Just awful. Unplayable.
Thanks for the heads up. At least there are countless other games to play.
Like if you have some monsterous 4090 beast of a PC that can brute force the game, I recommend it. Even if it's just part 1, even if it's janky/buggy, it's still a fun enough game.
Yeah, they didn't bother catering towards PCVR because it makes more economic sense for them to devote more resources to standalone and PSVR2, both of which are comparatively cheap.
I am running on a laptop with a 3050/16gb and 64 gm ram I have started with everything on medium and it runs fine so far I fell like I can up everything just havn't had time to play with settings and play the game yet I wanted to play a bit first.
If it won't run on the things people are trying to run it on; I have doubts about it running on like the quest 3 snapdragon processor.
You're probably right though; just more in regards to PSVR2. I think that's what they bet all their money on because they have zero presence anywhere on the PC version and only ever show/test/sponsor PSVR2 videos.
