Requires Quest Link!?
What is the problem with Steam Link? What is this garbage!?

I had the same problem with a Quest 3. I tried Virtual Desktop but it crashed. I also tried the Steam Link but it wasn't working properly for me and so I gave up trying. I'm sure it works fine with a standard PCVR headset. I'll have to wait for the Quest 3 version unless Valve gets its act together and releases the Deckard (Valve Index II) next year--wishful thinking I expect.

I'm playing on a Quest 2 via Quest Link and it works perfectly and launches the same as every other game. Do you have the option to use Quest Link cable?

1. Enable Quest Link in Oculus/Meta Quest menu
2. launch Steam VR in the Rift/Oculus Link home menu (whatever this is called now)
3. Then Open Steam VR app and click Play.

This is how i play all VR games with no issue. Good luck!
