The first comment makes no sense as well. VD is a native OpenXR runtime. SteamVR is native to OpenVR but can also do OpenXR though not as well, same with Quest Link. You don't get to choose to use OpenXR, a game is either designed to use it or it isn't. You only get to chose your OpenXR runtime application.
Is there DLSS?
Make sure you have VDXR selected as your runtime in VD (via the desktop app).
It improved performance dramatically for me.
