Cheaters and rank

Inspected the leaderboards and found a lot of cheaters!
For example, I finished the first mission (The awakening) with Gold Medal (score: 48380) and I am 13000 rank! Why? I looked at leaderboards and found that a lot of players gained more then 50000 points of score!

And I have another question: I finished the first mission yesterday in the morning with 13000 rank. My friend did the same yesterday in the evening and gained 5000 rank with the same 48380 points of score... It is very strange... Why is it so?

Please, ban the cheaters and clear the leaderboard.

While there may be cheating goiing on (the DG team would need to comment on that), it's very possible to get an extra 2000 points over the minimum neededfor gold on many levels. On some levels you can actaully get literally millions of points over the minimum. You need to wait to buy more towers/upgrade until the last moment so you can get the most interest. On the longer 99 level grinders, once you get your spending power over around 20,000 (unspent) the interest starts piling it on rapidly. No idea why the rank should be so different for the same score though.

Hmmm... Thanks for your answer. Hope cheaters will be cleared from leaderboards and it would be a good lesson for them not to use cheats. Still do not know the reason why the rank is calculated in a such strange way. Actually I know nothing about that.

I too would like cheaters scores removed. I play Service Interuption 10 Tower Limit quite a bit and am currently ranked # 15. I don't think it is possible for me to move up even 1 spot as I'd need to increase my score by 10% or more and I just don't think it's possible without using a cheat.

I'm a normal player, I don't give a damn about the Leaderboards...
If there would be a button or an option, to exclude yourself from the leaderboard, I would use it...

Best TD hands down since Warcraft 3 mods were at their peak. Lot of good players using their own strategies to compete on a tight leaderboard. Unfortunately the Unofficial Leaderboards are the most aqurate. Like any other learboard cheaters ruin them here on Steam. Developers and steam need to get together and compile a list of therortical max scores and only allow elites that can back it with recordings post higher scores. That is the solution I think of quite often.

Personally I couldn't care less who is number one or near the top. The only scores that matter to me is between myself and my friends. If people need to cheat to be good then thay are rather sad and well, I have said, couldn't give a damn what their scores are. Did have a friend who needed to cheat but our scores were still better so it did him no good in the end.

My friends and I use our perosnal scores to compete too. But I must say, it would be nice to have those scores removed, which are just impossible to reach.

fwiw, I do like seeing the scores out there -just to see how I've done comparatively. I'm never near the top, but sometimes I rank better than others making me think I was onto a good strategy. Sometimes I think I've got something good going and then I look and - nope - lots of other people doing something else that's quite a bit better. The weekly challenge boards were fun for me in this way to gauge how I was doing comparatively.

Also - I can't juggle, so it'd be nice if there was a way to separate juggling scores from others so I could compare normal approach scores vs. the way I play.

i know a glitch that can be used to cheat if you build a tower on touch screen mode it cost 0 recorcess
