Accessibility of DG is lacking

as a gamer with disability I have quite a hard time to playDG. Is there a way to get rid of the mouse being locked to the center of the in-game screen? There are some accessibility tools that would help, but because of the locked mouse those are useless. The only way to circumvent the problem is Voice Activated Commands and perhaps Voice Attack, but I can't speak good enough. Any ideas?

The game supports controllers and touch. Maybe that could be an option that works better? I know MS has put some effort in adaptible controllers for the XBox and I'm guessing those work on Windows as well.

You can also move around using the WASD keys, spacebar to open up the build tab, the arrow keys to select build options, Esc to exit the menu. Dunno if that's a better option for you.

A thread by Hidden Path Entertainment Cheat codes revealed![web.archive.org] lists a command

=riotmod - Free cam

which can be typed on the map you are playing. For me it locked the camera. Hitting Esc and restating Defense Grid returned it to its regular state.

edit: i found the inputs for riotmod! it uses an xbox360 controller, or similar USB gamepad! left and right analog moves and turns the cam, while bumpers move forward/back.
