Why are so many kids in VR?
I see it all the time in almost every game. What is this phenomenon?

Why do so many new gens and under 30s care so much about game achivements instead of actual gameplay and having fun... rather put up with children who don't care about things..

Basically, they made VR cheap as a console, so now we deal with the console problems on PC.

That makes sense! I'm not complaining and happy kids can enjoy games too, I just hear them so much more on VR it seems like.

There was a term coined in the 1990s called, "Eternal September" where every year, the internet became worse and worse due to the influx of new students and "normal people".
VR now suffers with, "Eternal December", where every Christmas there is a massive influx of underage children in VR because their parents ignorantly buy them Quests, or now Quest 2s, as Christmas gifts.

You should. It actually has become quite the disgusting detriment that so many parents have normalized just putting their children online with a smart phone/tablet/Quest 2 because it placates the child without having to pay for a babysitter/daycare.

It's the equivalent of parents dropping their child off at a bar and getting upset when a bunch of adults are drinking and swearing around their child.

parents got them quests.

Come on, are you really trying to BS us all saying you never played anything online or went online when you was a kid?

And to say parents do not keep a eye on there kids shows just how little you actually know. Heck I bet you don't even have kids.

I would agree that most parents don't monitor what their kids do online. Some do, yes. But most parents are far too busy and games "aren't dangerous".

I bought a 2nd set to play with my 8yo.
I was always under the impression the franchise was a kids game, which is why I never touched it. I wasn't surprised at all when I heard the pipsqueak voices behind the players.

Without judging, I can't see how a 25yo+ person finds solo entertainment in this age demographic environment.

What is the problem with age? I have 40 years old and this game makes me fun. Most players are young but...

the game appeals to all ages. the issue is who you play with. Among Us in general is by far most fun when you play with people who are mature which is why the among us discord has so many rooms for match making. Playing wit hrandoms...is painful.

In in the 1.4 hours i played before i refunded, I did literally have a kid who sounded like he was 4 or 5, could barely speak. That a kid of that age was in a vr game....truly astounded me. I could have played the pedo and done/said so much stuff that could have traumatized him.

Most young audience doesn't use social platforms to interact with anyone, they just play the games they like.

You might think that your little Discord server is sizable relative to the people actively playing, but the reality is that Among Us, same as Roblox and Minecraft - attracts children who aren't part of any community who only care about having fun.

You're playing an all-ages game, so yes, expect to find plenty of children.
Not even going to comment about your last statement. Better save those thoughts to yourself.

Quest 2 mostly, I love mine but due to the price it makes VR very accessible to families, and thus children. But it is inevitable, VR was eventually going to go mainstream and be flooded with children, just as computers and the internet have in the past.

Also Among Us has always been pretty heavily populated by children so it should be no surprise that the VR version is as well.
