Whoever designed the combat ship thing
I hope you stub your toe really badly.
Mainly because of the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ missile defence being a refuel process

Carry five or six fuel canisters around with you.

Doesn't help that this section is bugged as hell.

I tried always carrying 2 extra but its a catch 22. if you don't keep weps restocked then enemies stack up and you need to use defences more often
And yeah I found at least 2 bugs.
Also it is REALLY annoying when the screen shakes so hard you can't click anything while the next incoming shot is 4s after the last. I have the accessibility option on :)

The trick is to have always the point defense ready, and keep the countdown in your head as soon as you hear the alarm.

You have all the time in the world, so take it, keep the point defense functional, and when you have time, reload the weapons.
Yeah, third day is pretty much the easiest simply because the other crew no longer clog up the elevator though and it becomes a lot more manageable to deal with missile defence then.

The combat ship was a pain the first time I played it. The third day took forever, but I didn't know what was going on. Turns out coffee to the captain and the defense screen are the two most important factors.

After that the inventory screen shows you which weapons are important to deal with the enemy. I'm on a second playthrough and just did the combat ship and the third day was over before I knew it.

Without giving spoilers, is there any point in me going down this road again?
Some sort of permanent unlock? Wardrobe? A ton of omen coins?
I'm not touching this unless I know it isn't some sort of "you saved the day, well done Wilbur, here's 10 omen coins"
You get to keep the soldier skin and every route you beat gives you an item that helps with another good/true ending I think?

Far as I can tell though every route gives you a skin.

Each faction area has a couple of hints for washing machine codes if you're going for those.

each side route gives a skin, an item thats probably important for some ending, a washing machine code, and has one or more achievments tied to it.

You have to complete every faction's sidequest to be able to get the good ending

if you want to cheese the ship battle a bit, the game only saves at the start of each day, so if at any point the ship's health starts to get too low you can quit to the main menu and that lets you start the day over again.
