Anti trifle wire cutting

I’m playing on a handheld and I can’t seem to figure out how to cut a wire in this stage. None of the tools are selectable. Anyone else figure this out?

There are red snips in your tool tray. Those are what you would need. I'm not sure how the hand held would change tool selection. It should be select-able the same way you'd grab a screwdriver.
