After that, you must count the NON clear screens, and will always be zero, one or two
When a dimension is patched and 2 screens become clear, it means the candidate has 2 resonances in that patched dimension.
The crate itself has 1 red, 1 green and 2 blue resonances, which could be the same as the candidate's. So if a crated candidate shows 1 clear screen in red dimension, you can not tell candidate's resonances. It could be 0, if only the crate resonances, or be 1, if the candidate has the same resonances as crate's.
So the best way to do the job is to run the test without crates. (After you have tested its radiation level).
Candidates can have 0-2 resonance in any color.
Let's say our candidate, we'll call it Dave, is State A. This means Dave has a resonance of 2 Red, 1 Green, 0 Blue.
Unfortunately, the resonance of the Crate and the resonance of the Candidate can affect the same monitor. This means that although both Crate and Dave have 1 Green resonance, if you scan Crated Dave for Green you are not guaranteed to get 2 Clear screens:
Let's try this with a new candidate, Bob. We don't know his resonances yet, so we'll start from the beginning, keeping him in the crate.
Bob cannot be State A, as the Blue scan proves. Bob cannot be State D, as both Red and Green prove. This leaves State N, which we can now label Bob.
Theoretically, you could wind up in a situation that doesn't narrow it down. Two Clear Blue Screens could mean 0, 1, or 2. If you weren't able to eliminate two possibilities with Red and Green, then you would have to uncrate. That being said, I fully scanned every crate to come through the warehouse and never had this issue - it's possible the Devs prevented it or it's just not likely to get three batches of useless data.
