I really want to like this game...
In fact I want to love it. There is so much great potential here. But it's stymied but some really frustrating designs. This isn't the only one but I'll share the worst. When doing the VR repair, it requested 483. I combed the corridors, finding two boxes, neither of which were right. Finally the screen faded and I was kicked out. This wouldn't be a problem except that it was the first repair of the day. Since Chop requires at least one repair per day, it sent me back to the start.

To put it simply: searching the warehouse was a boring task. The novelty of shifting to first person wore off quickly. And after seven minutes of boring, the last thing I wanted to be told was that I would have to do it all over again.

How the catnip do you even DO anything in there? The manual tells you nothing but how to get in, and the controls are jacked.

So what you do is walk around FPS style. There's a central spot which has a number on it. Roam the halls looking for the box with that number. Press 'E' to pick it up (I think, I can't quite remember at this point) and place that box on that central spot. That will fix the VR system.

Just occurred to me: If your controls are jacked, you might have the crosshairs over the wrong eyes. That happened to me the first time I went in. When I fixed it, the controls were just like any FPS game.

Doesn't VR also have a wire box for controls, like the platformer? Maybe that was the problem for you.
This warehouse gave me a very bad experience!

Yeah, finding a specific box in a dark warehouse ain't fun anyways.

There is a diagram of the warehouse on the page at the back of the VR section (page left of the start of the Welder section/back of the safecracking instructions). It shows you exactly where each memory box is.

That diagram wasn't there during the demo, and it was frustrating trying to find the right box.

there is a map for the warehouse in your manual. also there are toggle switches to lock the crosshairs after you set them. thats probly why you got kicked out
