I can't turn the focus lens using the xbox controller

So I'm playing on pc using a xbox controller and no matter what I do or how many different controllers I switch out I can't turn the focus lens on "identification". Is this some bug or am I not holding the wrong buttons down to turn it? Please help.

I hooked up my playstation controller to test, and for me, I just needed to get the focus wheel selected (which was the default, at least with the panel closed), and then used the left joystick to turn it. It turned a bit enthusiastically and wasn't super precise, but it worked!

I don't have a problem selecting it, I just can't turn it at all no matter how much I move the joystick. :(

I have to press X to "grab onto" it as well -- are you doing that too? Otherwise the joystick just moves around selecting other elements. I have to be actively holding down X to move it. Judging from the in-game instructions, that'd be the A button for you.

I have no problem grabbing onto it, I just can't turn the focus lens

I have an Xbox One controller I’m using in tandem with a mouse. A lot of the controls are just so much friendlier with the mouse. However, I can grab and turn the camera focus with just the controller. It’s a bit finicky; it will sort of buzz between two positions if I don’t have it angled perfectly. But I do prefer to adjust the camera with the controller over the mouse.
