Report a translation problem
This whole job may be canonically the boss testing Wilbur, checking how well can he follow list of commands, before the actual test. So for all we know, the ship may be a paper mache ship.
But yeah, still a shame that I can't blow it up. It would be funny :)
I'm pretty sure he's not on the ship anyway (I don't think he can fit there) so it wouldn't ruin the story. Maybe if you blow it up, the hog goes "wtf, ♥♥♥♥ you, you owe me 100'000 $ now!", or a debris just lands on you and kills you, forcing you to restart anyway.
i think its pretty explicit that all the bosses are just tests for the final one.
