Save file location?
Just wondering where the save file is stored? (already checked the balls)

Everyone complaining that it's "bad design" because "I play in focused mode for a reason". It's your game. You are playing. You can work around this issue yourself. I was avoiding "Fatal" jobs like the plague, until I got a single "Immutable Fatal" job to choose from. I instantly died, even though I read the manual fully, cover to cover. It was just too much new, too fast.

So I decided, it's more fun to just use save states, and rewind the day if needed.

Open explorer and go to: %appdata%\..\Local\SpaceGarage\Saved
Every morning after you wake up, Alt-Tab to your open explorer window.
Right click on the "SaveGames" folder, drag to an empty space in the window and select "Copy here".
Rename it to "SavedGames - Day whatever"
Or, if you are playing focused mode, BEFORE you accept a Fatal job, Copy the folder. The save state will make you start the entire day again, but at least you'll for sure have it.

If you die, exit out, and copy all the files (particularly sav0_*, sav1_*, or sav2_* as per your current save slot. (Go into your renamed folder, Ctrl-A (select all), Ctrl-C (copy), go into the "SaveGames" folder, Ctrl-V (paste), done)

NOTE: I only use one save slot, so USE CAUTION if you have multiple save slots. As if you use slot 1 (sav0_*) and someone else uses slot 2 (sav1_*), you shouldn't copy over every file a week later, because you will affect the other save slot if it was played in the meantime.

I got the MagPie ending. But I wanted to know, what the other ending looked like. Using save states, you can, without slogging away endlessly, over and over and over.

If you feel this is cheating, then you do you. Don't do it. It's your game. And your time invested. You're reduced feeling of fun, and increased tears. But don't keep insisting it's "Bad Design". What you are essentially asking for are save states. You can do it.

C:\User\AppData\Local\SpaceGarage\Saved\SaveGames

Override the folder when u make a back up and when u wanna just rewind a run and not a entire save of all ur non run stuff then replace only the run.sav and world_level.sav in that folder from your backup.

A new run will delete the world file but its fine if u place in those both itll start where u left off.
