Resetting AI

So I've read a ton of these discussions and for whatever reason everyone seems to have different issues, my issue is that I have NO issues but still can't seem to reset AI emotional state.

I've ensured the Pancake stack is valid with the right components, ensured all other components were working well, put the reset code in properly, and the lever starts in the UP position, just like the manual says. The issue comes that interacting with the lever makes the audio cue of the lever being pulled before becoming stuck and then non-interactive. I don't have the option to "pull hard" like some suggest, it just... doesn't go.

Seems like a game ender, especially once you get some omen upgrades and these jobs start becoming normal.

This probably sounds obvious if you *have* done this already, but just in case: before you try to reset, you've got the AI into emotional shutdown mode, right?

dumb question: Is the power on? I haven't checked myself but I've read that you can't reset the AI unless the power is at 1 or higher.

-make sure power is on
-make sure the spinners are spinning clockwise
-if the screen is blank it is NOT in 'emotional shutdown', its only in shutdown if the screen READS emotional shutdown.
