Are there in-game hints to the *early spoiler* codes?

So I put my first code in the laundry machine. It was pretty easy once I figured out that most of the buttons were numbers.

I noticed a couple notes stuck around the building to the far left where Uncle CHOP shows up, and some symbols clearly correlate to the keypad, but others I’m clueless on. Like I think it wants me to input a 10, but I haven’t figured out if there’s a zero key yet[\spoiler]

I’m just wondering if this is something I should try and power through (only on the second RENT) or if I’ll get more information about the meaning of certain keys if I keep playing.

Without spoilers, those codes are basically (almost) stand-alone, cryptic puzzles for the types of people who really like this sort of stuff.
