Suggestion: Alter some of the Omen upgrades for Focused mode
I noticed early on that a couple of the upgrades you get from Kyle (like Chill Customers or the floodlights) only apply to Frantic mode, but can still be bought in Focused mode.

I think those upgrades should work differently depending on what mode you're in. Like the Floodlights allow you to take one more job per day in Focused mode (so 4 instead of the usual 3), and Chill Customers reduces the mood reduction for mistakes.

Did you tried floodligts in focused mode? Because they will give you one more job

"Like the Floodlights allow you to take one more job per day in Focused mode"

That's exactly what they do, fortunately!

WHAT!?

But it costs 250, so only useful once you're getting bigger jobs.
(Haven't checked price since patch today)

Ok, I admit I did not know this. I kind of assumed they were Frantic-only based on the description. Good to know.

My point stands for the other Frantic-only upgrade tho.

tbh, sounds like for different modes the devs might as well do a minor rework of the perks so they're 100% appropriate for each mode. Totally right.

You guys just made every day more profitable for me, bless your reactors.

Huh, TIL that floodlights work in Focused, if devs are paying attention, maybe possibly some way to make it more clearer?

Given that the description for the floodlights say that it extends the length of the workday it should be assumed that it works regardless of the game mode. The chill customers upgrade on the other hand specifically says its for frantic mode only.

Fair ball, pretty much only counter I can give is that given this thread exists, and people here don't realize it, provides argument it could be dumbed down more to be more obvious for us back of bus peeps.

"Length" implies that it affects the timer, which implies that it only works in frantic. I guess it should maybe be more clear.

In my opinion the word "length" also applies to focused mode as the day is 3 jobs long

It costs 10? How can they go from 250 to 10 in a patch?

You're confusing the omen price versus the price in normal currency to use it during the run. Frantic and Focussed also have different prices.

It is easy to be confused considering I have not bought the upgrade because I thought there must be a catch with that sketchy in-game description, coupled with no one specifying which costs they were talking about in this thread except you.

You mean to say that it costs 10 omen coins to buy the machine, which then costs 250 dollars to use each day, is that what you are saying? That means that it is only worth it if you get more than 250 profit per ship on average, which I guess it pretty late in the run.
