Blinker Fluid

So I replaced a bottom headlight bulb, filled it with FREEZE per the note in the manual, didn't see any proper LODESTAR fluid, and I got hit with a WRONG FLUID penalty.

Did I miss something?

I'm just going out on a limb here, but I'm pretty sure it's in the name. I don't think blinker fluid was ever meant to be the right answer, as it's one of the oldest known mechanic jokes in the book. The manual (i.e. book) recommending it would literally be the joke.

it's not a joke. don't know why you are getting a penalty tho. I've done the same fix and got a bonus

it might have been filled with something else. Just drain the light bulb before filling it.

This was likely what I failed to do, fair enough. I will try again.

And yeah I got the joke, blinker fluid is right next to the pipe stretchers and sky hooks in the back of the van

having same bug.... empties all fluid the used freeze still dinged for wrong fluid

Some ships have two headlights, you might be getting dinged because the second headlight module has the wrong fluid in its blinker light.

Why pin something that the game tells you already?

One thing that caught me on this a lot was not realising that there are two headlights modules - that might be something others don't notice :)

the top one must also have no fluid at all.
