Ok, after learning to make doughnuts there seems to be no difference between the 2 modes. i assume this is because some of the steps to make the doughnuts are time based and having a clock helps keep track. Also seeing that there is no cost to the doughnut ingredients there is no way you could actually fail if you were given infinite time. It also seems that regardless of performance you will still be killed after the first day, it is just the demo.

Thank you for actually showing me this, when i first unlocked the speakeasy i glossed over the text and assumed that they just give you some money if you didn't have enough for rent and so i just ignored it.
