Thrustmaster software/drivers:
- overall strength 85%
- constant: 100
- periodic 100
- spring: 100
- damper: 100
- auto center: 0% and select by the game
- boost-mode OFF
- degrees of rotation: if only having paddles for shifting then stick to 540degrees or even less (something between 500-360)
###
In Game:
- self align torque: 100 (adjust 50-99), most important effect, gives natural centering+countersteer to steering etc, overall higher value affects speed and strength of ffb
- wheel friction: 0 (adjust 1-10), this is just dead-weight = extra friction making wheel heavier to turn, can have negative effect to steering countersteers speed in oversteering moments
- tire friction: 50 (adjust 0-100), this simulates friction between tire and road, so if wanting steering to feel heavier add this (instead of wheel friction)
- suspension: 60 (adjust 30-100), this gives feedback when supsnesion parts spring rates+dampers are doing stuff
-tire slip: 50 (adjust 30-70) this is vibrations when having wheelspin
- engine: 0 (adjust 0-100), only vibrations when engine is hitting on rpm-limiter, can cover more important ffb like that tire slip wheelpin vibrations
-collsion: 0 (adjust 0-100), simulates G-forces to hands in crashes (wheel jolts+vibrates extra more) so makes car recovery harder, lots of feedback comes already from suspension effect when crashing, so only use this if wanting to make game even harder as it forces you to drive more cleanly
Other ffb values:
- soft lock ffb: turn of this soft-lock feature in advanced wheel settings menu if driving all the cars with same degrees like 540 or lower, then this value has no effect
- wheel center force: only centers the wheel at start line when countdown starts and when taking reset-back-to-road, it doesn't do anything when car moves, not really needed with 540degree rotation or lower as wheel can't easily get 1turn wrong, but use if u want to, so set it ON in FFB-menu and value of 50-100 can be enough
###
Other important setting:
1. calibrate wheel+pedals in game (follow instructions)
2. set little bit of deadzone to pedals, minimum 5% to throttle+brake+clutch (in advanced wheel menu), these helps with being able rest feet on pedals heavily and still not applying any input when it's not needed.
In Rally1 Hybrid cars u need to be fully off the throttle to generate boost under braking so here that 5% deadzone on throttle helps.
3. Check assists-menu: set transmission type to manual sequential(+assign paddles for gear up+down) and set Clutch-mode to override.
Disable assists that you don't need, or all off and then adding maybe abs and/or tc if having major car control issues. When getting more experience again turn these assists off etc test if driving without works better.
