Includes the Maestros DLC?
I believe it does. To my knowledge the doc was for anyone who had WRC 23. From what I've read anyone buying 24 will have all the content that's coming with it.
Bought at release, couldn't play properly for months because of the hush hush release.
And now everyone who buys the finished product new gets all the DLC's on top while I have to pay extra. So fair
Nope. I bought this product and it provides me with what I wanted. One for one trade.
Ok so you're completely fine with them adding a kernel anticheat and screwing over all linux customers?
And for releasing a broken game that was fixed months later?
And don't come with the argument "it just affects 2% of the playerbase" - I don't care. If you start thinking in numbers you lose your humanity.
And let me remind you that this isn't a game that is 10 years old. It is still fresh and they just decided to push out the DLC's for free but ONLY to new customers. Obviously because they need that to boost the abysmal sales numbers.
I simply don't care. I'm a grown adult with priorities. If I buy something and it works for me then I'm happy . If I buy something and it doesn't work then I shelve it and move on. I couldn't give a ♥♥♥♥ about Kernal anti cheat or the dlc sales or whatever. Mind you EA can suck my balls but at the end of the day it's a silly little game that means nothing.
If the game completely crashed and didn't work anymore I would simply boot up another rally title I have and move on.
But when I ask a question about fairness - an aspect that does not bother you in any way - then why did you even reply?
It is like you sitting in a meeting and you ask the other 5 people "Has anyone a pencil?" And someone just says "no". It simply wasn't a question for you.
Anyway have a good day
Cause it does apply to me. By your logic I'm on the losing end here. I bought the game full price at launch and bought the dlc full price at launch.
You don't think I didn't see the threads talking about this exact thing months after release when the game went on a heavy sale?
You don't think I've seen the same thing with battlefield 2042 after that game tanked? Or when people buy early access games and then complain about the state of the game?
It's up to the consumer to do their homework on what they are buying and if they should buy it or not. That's why I have the attitude I have , because I know what I'm getting my self into before I purchase.
If you put it like that then yeah I screwed up by buying an EA game.
And yes I also think you are also on the "losing end".
Because the game DIDN'T come out in early access. It came out supposedly finished and at somewhat full price. (I play a lot of early access games I know what you are talking about, I've seen those threads too)
I think for simple reasons of logic, the people that already own the game should get everything for free that people get in addition when buying it now.
This is the most logic thing to. It would be different if this was some 6 year old "game of the year edition", but it isn't, is it? Game is still pretty brand new with ongoing content service.
Again, this is my fault that I bought an EA game on release, just because I was hyped about the next codemasters title. If I'd bought it now, with a good sale, I'd be much happier.
I should've known better.
As for Linux, I used it myself for a long time, and since steam is the platform that brings EA the most customers - and they produce a handheld that uses Linux - I really think it is a BIG L BAD MOVE from them to add an anticheat system that completely screws those people over. BIG BAD L. Especially when it wasn't announced at first in any way.
See, this system is not more effective than non-kernel anticheat, it just does certain things on its own rather than having data analyzed by humans.
Before abandoning, DR2.0 didn't have any sort of relevant cheater issue.
It just saves them a little bit of money. So they went and said "hey, we did save a little bit of money and we just lost 1-2% of our playerbase, we are so intelligent."
I can't help myself but feel anything other than disgust for this kind of customer policy, and it should be expressed as often as possible.
It's fine if people do not care, I am not a lecturer. But maybe people consider not buying anything from those people anymore.
