Hi I'd say this is better. Richard burns rally is a great game, but it's very, very old and dated looking. This game has a lot of stuttering issues but it is a good modern take on rally racing. Take a look at wrc9-10 and my personal fave wrc-Generations. With Wrc-Generations there is a physics mod a guy made that is out of this world, and if you decide to buy it, let me know and I will help you if you have any issues. FYI I bought this on sale for like $15 so maybe wait for another sale? Don't bother with RBR, it really is only played by diehards and the like these days. What cpu/gpu do you plan on using????

Better for what?

For very realistic, graphically impressive stages, EA WRC is best. Just about every other category possible, RBR is superior (if you use one of the community mods that updates a bunch of stuff).

Play both a lot. RBR is superior in almost everything but graphics. Not to say that Ea isn't great in its own right but if could have only one it would be RBR

No. Many People Are Saying That Richard Burns Rally Is Legendary.

RBR, by far, delivers the best driving experience if you play using any 'driving' peripherals' such as wheel, pedals, stick, handbrake, VR, .etc. A good amount of today's stages in RBR also delivers better/more real graphics and stage accuracy than any other 'modern' rally title.
While in EA WRC you can customize the looks, in RBR you can customize your experience.

If you are gamepad-couch-gamer, EAWRC may be a better choice (easy/accessibility). So it all depends on what you are looking for. Just my opinion.

RBR is an accurate rally SIM if you get rallysimfans mod, in terms of handling, no discussion... RBR is much better. If you use h-shifter, secuential, wheel, pedals...and Simrig the best rally experience is RBR.
EA WRC is simarcade game, good handling physics for entry level players whit gamepad or basic peripherals, but if you have a simrig you can enjoy it as well, but both games are completely different concepts.
So which one is better?? Depends what you looking for

RBR is a simulator if you use the RSF or RBRPRO or even the Czech version using Workerbee's NGP plugin and the NGP plugin is the default in at least the RSF version and the RBRPRO version but the best is RSF version as it is all free and the installation is automated with their RSF installer! liink to RSF RBR https://rallysimfans.hu/rbr/download.php?download=rsfrbr

it also has three dailies and a ton of comps that are like Dirts clubs but easier and better as well as official Championships and RSF RBR also has the largest user base of all the versions out there! And it is very easy to set up your own configured comp's for you and your friends or you and everyone!
