Next weeks video should be equally as interesting.
I am cautiously optimistic about this one, now. This video still left a few key questions of mine unanswered, but it was successful in helping my interest in this year's release grow quite substantially. So: well done Codemasters.
I agree, the graphics look fine, in fact I would say they looked pretty good.
Based on the PC spec requirements, it's very doubtful that you are going to get 60+ fps on mid level systems.
It looks better than Dirt Rally 2.0.
The level of graphic quality you expect would probably require a RTX 4090Ti and a i9 13900k. And judging by the screenshots you uploaded on your profile, that's not what you got in your PC.
Nice to confirm that the stages are From the real world . And they even mentioned FFB ..
And more weight. A little dig at the previous WRC offering pointing out the vehicles actually feel different. but the fact they used Feel, inertia and FFB in the same sentence always a plus side.
Still personally will want to see more drives but warming to it .
- pretty much all the cars from Dirt rally 2.0
- summer fall winter settings ( holy hell monte carlo winter and summer are night and day )
- longer stages idk will have to see but they said everything based on real roads
i don't think there was anything explaining the skin editor yet? hope its like WRC Gen altho i wish i could upload stickers instead of making them from scratch it can take longer then the car it self some times ( like my magneti marelli sticker was hell )..
The throttle setting was for when the hybrid power would come in.
There is almost no chance they will let you import pictures into the livery editor, for many very legitimate reasons. I mean, the licence holders don't want d*ck pics on their cars.
So better dont judge graphics quality by a youtube video. Thats very dangerous to do that.
I would be already happy if we will get some parallax textures this time for the floor. Especially on gravel you really could see at bonnet and even more so bumper cam that we drive on a wallpaper and you could so easily see how all the gravel stones are completely flat - as said like driving on a wallpaper.
But there will be 30km stages and I'm soooo happy about this - but I can imagine that such a length requires a little bit drawback in graphics too to get the hardware not overloaded
even if it's slightly better than DR2.0, it'll be fine.. in racing games, stuff is moving so fast you'd hardly notice anyway.
The DR2 fans didn't apply that standard to the KT Racing games, they nitpicked the hell out of those games.
