In general, the real angle of the vehicle is the best, or at least the most realistic.
If your steering wheel software supports it, you should select "Auto" or the maximum steering angle.
Then calibrate your steering wheel in the game's steering wheel settings.
Now you have the actual steering angle of the vehicle you are currently driving.
If your steering wheel only supports 900 degrees, you obviously don't have the real angle for a Lancia Fulvia, because that is 1080 degrees.

if you want to esports then everything between 400-720.. if you just want a driveable experience 900 or 1080 with Softlock

- Modern drivers with modern cars 300-540 degrees (sequential paddles or stick)
- 90s drivers+cars around 720 (still H-pattern dogbox, some having less degrees already)
- Cars without powersteering 60s+70s+early80s = 810-1080degrees is needed or forces are too great to drive competitive pace

(but example Ford rs200 had powersteering and degrees are 648 with softlock in the game, and in Peugeot Salonen got powersteering equipped quite soon in -85 but idk degrees he used with it maybe like 720 or still 900, usually drivers opted out powersteering because they weren't reliable enough for rallying and if u have failure it's almost impossible to continue driving)

Earliest footage what I've found of 540 degrees being used is by Kankkunen in San Remo 93-94 or something, but most likely it had been used even earlier. Then Colin Mcrae used 720 still in Ford -01 (softlock in the game for that car is also 720), but in -05 Skoda he had 540.

I like to use 450 but the proper way to do it is to use max wheel rotation in software and calibrate in game so your wheel can use the natural steering degrees of each car you drive.

If only using paddles(even single push&pull paddle) for shifting u want to use 540 or less degrees. More degrees than 540 and u are going to have some reaching paddle issues etc so u really need sequential stick, H-pattern shifter.
