Cant start VR
What the **** have they dont to this game lately? Been away for a few months, and now first I had issues just starting the game at all (fixed), but now there is no option to start in VR!? Also tried to start it from within SteamVR Home, but that just starts the game in "cinema mode" in a "bigscreen in VR". Using Pimax Crystal headset.

How do I start the game in VR now? Is there a command line promt I can use, or other tricks to force it to start in VR?

Normally the game prompts you after the splash screen.

If they don't see your headset, the option will not show up.

The point is. This game is native OpenXR, and I don't have enough knowledge to help in this problem.

I don't know what runtime the Pimax uses.

A tip: OpenXR toolkit don't work.

Pimax uses OpenXR or OpenVR. You can choose. And it has been working before, with the same headset and hardware, so something has happened after a patch, so that I don't get the querstion to start in VR anymore. This is the only game that has this issue in my Steam library.

Hi!

If you can't get into the VR game mode, and the game doesn't offer to launch it after the first splash screen, I recommend logging into your EA account in the game itself, then restarting the game.

I had this problem.

I'm currently playing without problems via Virtual Desktop

Cant find a way to log out... MBut it does log in when startign tghe game, and I see my profile with the corect data. Can also se RaceNet Clubs. So I think I'm logged in.
Hi. I also can't launch VR using EA APP with QLINK or VD. I tried OPENXR / STEAM VR, nothing to do. I had to rename G:\EA SPORTS WRC\Engine\Binaries\ThirdParty\OpenXR to "OpenXR_Back" to run it on the monitor. Otherwise it doesn't work on the monitor.
How to play VR ????

OK, so finally figured this out. The problem is with EAs anti-cheat in combination with the OpenXR Motion compensation plugin. in the OpenXR-MotionCompensation.ini (or better yet, make the change in the WRC1.0.0.0.ini) where you configure the OpenXRMC settings, make sure the graphical layer is off, like this:

; set to 0: disable initialization of graphical overlay
overlay_enabled = 0

If it is on, then EAs "fabulous" anti-cheat software think it’s a cheat and shut down the game.

So, after I did this change, then renamed the "OpenXR_Back" folder to the original "OpenXR", the game started up fine, and after the intro video, I got asked if I wanted to enter VR, and it worked!
