I dont know if youve seen my posts but I had exactly the same issue so reverted my installation back to 1.8.1. You are the only other person I have found to have this issue on the same headset, did you find a way to resolve it?
You mean the Steam beta, yes I tried that but the overlays and stage info doesn't show in the headset while driving, does it in yours?
How to get older versions of Windows 11:

Stop windows from applying feature updates (you'll still get security updates):

Sadly, due to the fact that WMR was deeply integrated into the operating system (and it has been entirely removed as of 24H2), there is little hope for the G2 outside of the steps outlined above. There is Monado, but development on that is slow and it is a lot of work to get the G2 working in Linux far beyond them even starting on any Windows implementation.
All I want is a proper PCVR headset and we are extremely limited in choice. I'm back to using my Rift S until the Deckard releases. I tried the Q3 but It is USB output and while some may not be sensitive to the compression issues, I am, so I returned it. I won't touch Pimax either because they seem to have serious QC issues among other things.
It is disgraceful that MS/HP have not given G2 users some workaround but I will NEVER buy anything from HP again on the basis of this disaster. I have hardware from a decade ago that still works perfectly in Win 11, The G2 is only 4 years old.
Hope that helps.
I am using W10 but still doesnt work G2...
To do this, go into SteamVR settings, go to OpenXR, then select 'Set SteamVR as OpenXR runtime'. Also, make sure HAGS is off.
uff, since may...
Valve, please hurry up with Deckard, thanks :P
