Bloom/overexposure/reflections
Is there a definitive fix for this now?
The game is still extremely shiny/bright, outwashed colors, most of the stuff on screen is white/fades to white. Road reflections are still very harsh and bright. Face/pacenotes of my codriver is so bright I can't really see it either. Currently on 0.30 brightness.
Is there any fix for these issues yet? The patch made performance alot better but there's still a bunch of issues with lighting... fps drops a solid 20% with the headlights on for example

[SystemSettings]
#r.DefaultFeature.Bloom=0
#r.BloomQuality=0
r.DefaultFeature.MotionBlur=0
r.MotionBlurQuality=0
r.DepthOfFieldQuality=0
r.EyeAdaptation.LensAttenuation=0.55
r.SceneColorFringe.Max=0
r.SceneColorFringeQuality=0

Stick that at the bottom of your engine ini. made a big difference for me
I might actually turn bloom back on.

FYI using r.EyeAdaptation.LensAttenuation= kills bloom-like effect in the sky from the sun, and also night headlights from exterior views and replays.

If you want to keep that stuff and still tone down the overexposed roads in cockpit, use the r.SkyLightIntensityMultiplier= instead.

Both solutions are still not ideal

do you paste it like this in the engine ini file ?

[SystemSettings]
r.SkyLightIntensityMultiplier=0.4

or do do you need to format it different ?

That looks like the correct format, put it a few lines below the end of the existing strings in the engine.ini file.

If it doesn't work for some reason, then using

[/script/engine.renderersettings]
r.SkyLightIntensityMultiplier=0.4

should. You can also add both to the end:

[SystemSettings]
r.SkyLightIntensityMultiplier=0.4

[/script/engine.renderersettings]
r.SkyLightIntensityMultiplier=0.4

And you'll have to mess with the numerical value that works best for you as it will make lower light stages (ex dawn and dusk) darker as well. Part of why both of these workarounds kinda suck as you have to exit the game and edit the file if wanting things more normal again in other conditions and setups.

Yes, it's so frustrating that the game doesn't work properly with SDR monitors.
How is this not fixed yet?
