Ah that at least gives hope, maybe we can figure out which settings causes the crashes in OpenXR. I can understand the disappointment with this VR beta release but it's not the first time initial VR performance was poor with the first implementation. Fingers crossed it will get better over time.
Anyway, my download is ready so time to experiment :)

Something that did happen a couple of times was that as soon as I started, the moment when the cam should switch to in-car view, pressing the X button to start did nothing. No button worked and I had to close the game from Steam and restart it again. That happened 3 times on my 2 hours of testing.
Performance wise ok, but had 2 big freezes (20-30 ms or so?) over a 13 km random stage. Experience not up there with DR2 or RBR, but enjoyable. In my case, "Cinematic" (Anti Aliasing) seems to be the thing to keep and work around by tweaking other parameters.
Minor issues:
- My rally suit is black, but in-game VR shows up as white meaining I can not use "Wheel and arms" option (way too bright/overexposed)
- There is a strange "gap" in the view as I can see the (black) borders of the individual lenses. In the middle I have a black column separating the two, visible only if I focus near, but nevertheless, it's there. Never seen this before so I need to investigate.
At the end of the day, the VR beta do "fine" on my rig: 16CoreI7-13700F, 64GbDDR5, RTX4070Ti, 4TbSSD, Win11Home, G25Wheel/H-box/pedals, aikeec 64-Bit Handbrake, Oculus Rift.
Thanks for suggestions above. I'll tweak the in-game settings a bit more to see where I will land. I'll post my findings on EW Forum for them to work with.
Doesn't the frame rate take a big hit in DX11?
