Which good game did go under because HD2? Suicide Squad? :D
Do I have to explain the meaning of the word "May" to you? I mean, that's pretty basic english.
Again with your single gamne examples, as if the world was that simple.
SteamDB logged 14532 gamews released on steam in 2023
12493 in 2022
11348 in 2021
9727 in 2020
in 2016 only 4319
For every "Terrible game ruining gaming" there are probably 10 good games that you will never hear of, who's studios close because they didn't get noticed.
Suicide Squad it self has a 72% positive score on Steam for "All Reviews". Is it good? I don't know, never played it, not interested. I heard a lot of people moaning about it but it's always had a net positive score. They probably made a ton of cash on that game.
Pop culture is like that, Brittany Spears made a whole lot of money, not my bag, did I care nope. Did she ruin the music industry? Nope. Plenty of talented musicians out there. Plenty never make any money. Harry Potter books made one lady very wealthy indeed, not my bag, did I care, nope. Did it ruin books? Nope./ Plenty of writers out there writing, most wont see any money from it.
Great games I've played this week (not including WRC which is Great!)
No Rest For The Wicked.
Horizon Forbidden West.
Mini Motorways.
Bayonetta.
Dirt Rally 2.0.
Iracing.
Le Mans Ultimate.
Bad Games I've played this week........
Nan
:D
Over 30 new games released this month on Steam, I've heard of 4 of them, only played 1, most will disappear never to be heard of again.
But your still here ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and moaning about a game you don't like and dont play (I assume), making out that it spells the death of the gaming industry, which even though money has been tighter this year, has seen a net gain in the amount of titles released & is looking to grow by about 7.5% over all.
Have you ever considered how if there are more games, not that many more players & less money to go around, how that might effect job security, game quality, game longevity. Or simply how programmers are ten a penny and that a largew studio thjat's just released a game, might just sack a bunch of people to show a gain in profits.
Hell Elon Musk just sacked 10% of his work force, while asking for another $50 billion dollar bonus (his second), even though his company has only ever made $25 billion in profits :D
Capitalism's a ♥♥♥♥♥ :x
All factual statements in my last post are accurate. I don't know what your getting at.
Suicide Squad on Steam right now under all reviews has a 72% approval rating.
Elon Musk did just sack 10% of his workforce & he is asking for another $50 billion bonus
Harry Potter books exists.
Britanny Spears, exists.
The projected growth of the games industry is stated to be about 7.5%
SteamDB does exist & their stats are readily available.
I also live in the country, touching grass is something that just happens round here.
Go look at DR2, hell even Dirt 2 & 3, these are games that were fun, awesome features, great sound tracks, visuals, no stupid diversity characters added and they all have had higher numbers in active players. DR2 still to this day has double the amount of this game and Dirt 5 so if that doesnt explain it then......
I look forward to this in VR believe me, cant wait actually, but if its crap i will be demanding a refund because i dont get paid at my job to be incompetent, i get paid because i am good at what i do and there are expectations that i have to meet and if i dont, i will be replaced which i would have to accept because thats what grown ups do, take responsibility and dont blame others!
Why is it acceptable in the gaming industry these days that we have to tolerate 3rd rate games being charged at full price with so many bugs on release days and to only find out we dont actually own them a few years down the track.
I can remember getting game patches in a CD-ROM back in the day and they were only to fix minor issues, been gaming since the 80's and Codemasters was the #1 game developer for many years but after Dirt 4, they took a nose dive and as they say, the fish rots from the head down and the CEO at the time didnt listen to people like me who were their fan base.
Nothing against you mate but i keep seeing people such as your self shooting people down trying to silence them for giving feedback whether it be constructive or not which is not healthy, also some people may come off as offensive because English may be a second language!
Now, we have a long weekend here in Australia so i cant wait to try this :)
Why is that a hard concept to understand? It was true in the 90s and it's true now.
No one is forcing anyone to buy entertainment and it's all entirely subjective so just enjoy it or don't.
No one cares.
Its only after trying said rally game that you can find out if you like the game, not the sport!
Hey constructive criticism is a thing & in the beginning there might have been some. Shader stutter was in issue, which on the hole, has been fixed. But even before the fix, if you drove the track once the stutter went away as the shaders had been compiled. I even live streamed to show I had no issues & I was still told that "If i didn't see the stutter it didn't mean that it wasn't happening" :D
Telemetry was also missing but patched in a week or so later.
I haven't been shooting down constructive criticism, I've criticised the lack of anything constructive & pointed out that mad conspiracy theories about the VR not being real are silly, oh and that there are other reasons why people loose their jobs in the industry.
Now if you don't think the game is fun, well that's not a bug, is it. That is just how the game is. You wanted it to be like DR2, that's fine but it isn't, get over it. Personally, as much as I loved DR2, I'm glad it wasn't just a rehash.
But now, when you start banging on about Diversity characters I know that your not interested in the game, it's just another way to push your political beliefs.
Women have been in Rally since before I was born & I'm really old. People from other countries , religions & backgrounds, sexual orientations etc exist, they always have. Get over it. No one wants your politics in their computer games, for as much as you say it's other people sticking there's in, the only people making a big deal out of it are you lot & no one cares. We are here to Rally.
& refund it when you realise it's not for you. Even better, wait a month or so after release because then you will find out if the performance is up to snuff too.
Your here 6 months after it's release, still whining like a baby because a girls in the game for god sake, grow up.
Real men are not scared of girls or foreigners.
Why would anyone who likes a genre just buy every game in that genre even if they feel it's a bad game lol?
I like fps too but don't buy every fps game.
Mad take man.
Go and argue between your selves and for the record, i hate politics.
ST, most people who are race car fans will but nearly all race car games, FPS's are boring.
/unsub
I don't know what mental gymnastics you are doing trying to suggest that because someone likes a type of game they would buy anything offered to them. Even a game objectively/subjectively bad.
"Oh I hate this game and it's received terrible reviews but I'll buy it because I like the genre".
Can you see how dense that sounds? That's not being a fan that's being a shill/idiot.
That's literally what you're saying.
Get a grip.
