How Do I Get VR to Work?
The game does not recognize I have a VR headset (Pimax Crystal) and doesn't ask to start up in VR. Anyway to get this to work? All other VR games work fine.

I had to change the OpenXR runtime to steamvr in vr settings before my pico neo3 link would work, maybe the same issue you have.

Thanks for that, o7. Just got my Pico 4 working. Bit of a PITA having to lift up the headset to use the mouse to navigate certain settings.

I have at last got my Pimax Crystal working. Try this Open your Pimax Client software, In Device under Display change the refresh rate to 72Hz (Lab mode), In Games under Render Quality use Balanced, Set Dynamic Foveated Rendering to Off. Don't forget to him Apply! Still in the Pimax Client software hit the Start SteamVR and in the SteamVR settings start off with the Resolution at 75 to 80% per eye. Now start WRC either from within Your VR headset or double clicking the WRC icon on your desktop (both work for me). You should get the DO you want to play in VR message from the WRC game. Say yes/confirm. The menu screens are pretty much flatscreen even within VR but when you get to the start of the stage you will be driving in VR! Regarding the in game Basic and ADvanced Graphics settings. Set them to Ultra low and/or low to start with.

These settings should get you up and running at at least 50 - 60 FPS. This may or may not sound like a lot but is more than enough to provide a smooth headache free driving experience. Unfortunately I cannot help with the dated graphics provided by the game itself.

Providing this works for you and/or your PC spec (mine is 5800X3D/3080) you can start to increase in game and/or Pimax settings to improve FPS and/or visuals.

I hope that makes sense. If not ask and I will try to explain again.

Tried this, but unfortunately still never get the prompt asking me if I want to use VR.

Sorry about that. I suspect you have already tried this but I made sure the limes of Open composite, OpenXR toolkit and PimaxXR were nowhere in sight.

Out of interest does anyone know if the Do you want to use VR message comes up regardless of whether you have a VR headset when the games launches? If that is the case and you are not seeing the message then it has nothing to do with your VR headset?

Install openXR and PimaxXR. And have both programs running before starting the game.
The run-in-VR question appears in-game after about 5 or 10 seconds. (After some intro videos have been played)
But well... even if it works, it's still a crap game lol
