So, how to try VR before implemented?
Hi all rallyfans!
I enjoy DR2 VR, AC VR, ACC VR and LFS VR.
Naturally I am waiting for VR for EASport WRC. Can we in this thread outline what we need to download and what it does before EA can provide us with VR?
I run an old (but fantastic) Oculus Rift and it works fine with DR2 and other games mentioned. What do I need to do to make EASports WRC work with my Oculus Rift?

I've seen it work, but what are the drawbacks? As long as I can enter the stages in VR, I'm all for the pre-solutions since the official solution is taking time...

It is very simple, just download UEVR from preydogs github page.
Extract it anywhere, i just kept it in my downloads folder. Pretty much all set...

Start the game then launch UEVR. A UI will pop up, select OpenXR and MAKE SURE TO SELECT THE CORRECT PROCESS TO INJECT IN THE DROPDOWN BOX., this will look something like "EA WRC" with some other stuff after it.

Once injected and in game, a UI will pop up. Go to camera options and enable decoupled camera pitch. DEL brings up the ui and also removes it

Shadows and Post Processing MUST BE SET TO ULTRA LOW, or you will have some shadows rendering in only one eye.

Lots of official documentation on it and you can also find that on the github page, because it is quite possible i forgot something.

Good post DmAnd, I've tried the game using UEVR and I have to say it is pretty good !! I wish EA would implement native VR function though.

Thank you DmAnd!
I'll follow your excellent guide! 👍- while waiting for the "real thing"!

Also car reflections set to lowest setting. I think that is also causing some graphical problems.

Your welcome. Glad to be helpful until we get official support.

Am I the only one that found two Trojan viruses detected by Windows Defender on my PC, downloading UEVR Beta 1.03 ? :-O

No it keeps doing that to me as well.
I'm no expert in this stuff so if anyone has more insight that would be appreciated but as far as i know, the way the program hooks into games triggers the alert.

More expert opinions are much welcome on this. It does bother me but i don't know if it is false positive or not.
If it is on Github it should be ok, no? I think they check for all that stuff.

Just not worth the risk. Stick to DR2 for VR in my opinion.

You are probably right. I just read a disturbing article about a attack that is happening on Github.
I'm done using this.
Sorry to everyone for the horrible advice

No worries. I'll wait for codies version then. Had no time to try it out yet, so all good 😁.
