New NVIDIA Drivers
Yesterday between stages on a break I downloaded the latest NIVIDA Drivers. Now the game just crashes over and over. Usually right after I start a stage.

It was doing so good the last week. Guess I'll have to put it on the shelf.

if you wanted to try to use DDU to uninstall your graphics drivers and reinstall again driver installs can go haywire sometimes and cause crashing not 100% thats your problem just what i do when i upgrade my graphics drivers theres a lot of youtube videos explaining how to use it.

DDU removes all the old display drivers i personally dont do it in safe mode that is what is recommended though lol

more or less download DDU download the full nvidia drivers(off the website) turn off your internet or windows will install a video driver on bootup and you will be in the same boat again run DDU let it restart your pc and install your drivers restart the pc and turn your internet back on.

anyways this program has helped me out so many times on nvidia and amd drivers in cases where i was getting problems/crashing/low performance its pretty much something i just use every time i install graphics/display drivers or updates now.

I always save file to my pc, but if you havnt just download it again from NVIDIA, when you install it select custom instead of express and select clean install, this will remove the driver you have installed before installing the new one

I did this and the Roll Back Button was grayed out.

Press Windows + R to open the Run dialog box.
Type devmgmt.msc and click OK to open the Device Manager.
Locate and click on Display adapters to expand it.
Right-click on the NVIDIA driver and choose Properties.
Go to the Driver tab, and select the Roll Back Driver option.

I never use the roll back as i always remove previous driver before installing a new one, perhaps you have already removed the old one without realising and this is why its greyed out, my advice would be to download it again and use clean install

Ok, a video with 3 options roll back the drivers. Option 1 in the device manager/roll back was grayed out.

Option 2 was going through the device manager and having the computer search for the drivers. It only found 1 driver and installed it.

Don't know about Option 3 {yet} because Option 2 seems to have worked. !st load up ran a Stage smooth as they were before. Usually I have to restart once after starting to get rid of the lag. This time, no lag on the first try.

till next time, as I feel with this game there's always going to be a next time until the 2025 version comes out.

thanks for the help and comments.

Just ran 3 more stages, smooth as glass.

And thanks GoBlue, I'll check out DDU. I just didn't need it this time.

and stogey, I also enjoy this version when it works.
