Game plays great now
After a very dodgy release the game now plays brilliantly well. Just tried out the new patch on one of the very long stages, about 24 minutes, and it was buttery smooth with no pop in, glitches or stutters. Well done to the developers from resuscitating WRC and making it for me (single player) the best rally experience yet (i've had them all).

Man, people can have a different experience without lying. Lets chill about the vidya game.

I haven't tried it since the update, but I'm very skeptical about the claim of no pop in.

The game has been running quite well for me so far, but despite the RTX4090 I've always had small stutters (especially at the start of the game in the first race).

Now I've played an event and WRC feels much smoother and I haven't noticed any FPS drops so far. I hope it stays that way. :steamhappy:

I've never had a great pop in before. Minimal, yes - but I've never noticed that, I'm primarily focused on the track in a game like this. :letsgo::F12016Helmet:

Great job CM! Now it is even more fluid than before and I also install latest Nvidia drivers 551.46 and no stuttering at all. Fixed 160fps on Greece at night all the time with 3080@1440p. Perfect!!!

I don't post much, but I have to agree. The game is very smooth now. I tried it with engine ini and scalability ini tweaks and I deleted my WRC folder in App Data folder and let the game rebuild it. Letting the game rebuild it, I can now us the Ultra preset and HDR and it runs great. I use a Dell Alienware AW3821DW @ 3840x1600 144Hz, 16x anisotropic Fidelity FX Quality 30 sharpness. I have a Intel 13700K. 32GB DDR5 and Radeon RX7800XT. Nothing is OC'd and have Frame Generation enabled in Radeon CP for this game and it runs great with a range of 82-101 fps depending on track.

It indeed feels better than ever. I am happy with it at the moment.

Yes. Stutter gone for me now. And thanks for making me hear co-driver better.

Agreed much improved now only noticed 1 or two stutters during a stage, if would have been released in this state all would have been good

i have not tried after the most recent update yet but honestly it has been working pretty well for me i think i did lower resolution to 3200x1800 instead of 4k with FSR for some reason it just looks/works better for me.
also am still using the temporal up scaling on quality dynamic resolution off cinematic AA
mirrors and car reflections on medium
shadows high
the rest ultra
get about 90 fps it does look much better than dirt rally 2.0 on 4k with about the same fps though for me

sure i would like to run max settings at 4k but thats pretty unrealistic for my hardware and overall it looks amazing for me I also dont notice pop in and hopefully never will haha i think thats why i dont spend so much money and just stick to the middle tier items once you spend so much if theres any flaw at all its really annoying just sort of brings expectations....that usually dont happen. lol

overall its been working really nice considering im on a rx6800 thats 3+ years old i5-13600kf and 32gb ddr4 4000mhz

i will say the game was horrible when i first played it on eaplay trial but idk sense i bought it a month ago ive really enjoyed it and have not had to much to complain about.

the tarmac road/asphalt looks really bad to me is about the biggest issue i have kind of idk fuzzy/ugly like the reflections are poor or something also the falling snow looks horrible lol
this is all before the current newest update as well lol

Runs quite smooth generally as it did for me before. Only occasionally a micro stutter happens.

I have a 3090. I understand some people have had problems with 4090.

Do not call me a liar. Why would I lie? I wrote a very critical review when it first came out but now I am happy with what they have done since. Please learn to be a decent person.

The games was running smooth, (with a few crashes), at high settings with a little trick i tried. My monitor support 60 Hz so i limited my frames, from nvidia's control panel, at 59fps. It worked for me with patch 1.4 and now with the new patch 1.5 i experience no crashes at all and a little bit more smoothness even with ultra settings (the games is running at 59 fps steady). I have an i5 13500 with 32Gb ddr4 and an rtx4060 slightly overclocked. I tried many solutions but only with frame limiter from nvidias control panel i have a smooth result with no shutters.

Correct me if im wrong but I think they finally fixed the Monte carlo crash to desktop issue

Japan at night in 4 k ultra with an RTX 4090 / 13900K is choppy like hell. Even when limited to 60 fps or limited to full HD it doesn't run smooth.
