That clown is around here lurking someplace - its on all the WRC boards acting like its always everyone elses fault there is an issue with the game...
I still mess around with it - just to make silly replay videos for me to enjoy later. If people watch them yay, if not oh well. But to get involved in anything serious at this point... no.
Try disabling hardware accelerated graphics scheduling to see if that helps. It got rid of the temporal stutters for me on the system below.
[16Core/24 Logic processors, i7 13700F, Win11x64home, 64GbRAM, RTX 4070Ti, all SSD, 1980x1080, G25, Nvidia driver 546.33]
A question on the fly: does anybody know the IRL wheel rotation limits of the 2001 Subaru Impreza (Richard Burns baby)? Is it near 720 or down at 540 already?
Are you using soft lock? That should be able to tell you if EA set it up correctly
It runs perfectly and without stuttering at max, the FFB is better than with DR 2.0, but needs improvement in the area of weight shifting or using the handbrake; the gamepad is apparently still in the foreground here.
When you get to grips with it as a steering wheel player, it really puts you in a good mood. But it could be even better!
Stuttering is definitely still a thing @Raffi. Just depends on the stage and environmental settings. Try Monaco and come back when you positively had multiple runs without micro-stutter.
That said, I am fully aware that my old 5820k / 4.2GHz-core, 3.7GHz-cache is showing it's age and I am willing to do a full platform-upgrade in the near future. Contemplating to wait until Assetto Corsa 2 drops to make my final decision what CPU to go with. Leaning towards a hopefully then still-inexpensive 7700 non-x at the moment as I am keen on having the possible option for an in-socket upgrade later down the line if the need arises.
It all depends on who is providing reasonable 1%_lows at a decent price and with motherboard-costs as high as they are now for even underwhelming connectivity-options at any price... ...why do the consumer-platforms still only get 4xPCIe4.0 to the chipset? WHY?
And then the Suez canal is currently under heavy threat... ...so not looking good for us European customers when it comes to technology imports. And Consumer electronics are almost exclusively imports, nowadays :-(
Running on a rx 7800xt btw. And yes, after loading into the stage and doing a little improvised "recce" - things start to really smooth out. But stutter-free it is not _really_ on this outdated CPU arch. The GPU is actively waiting on the old chip to deliver the goods seeing up to 80% of utilisation for 90+ percent of the time.
