EA SPORTS WRC v1.4.1 Patch Notes
The latest update for EA SPORTS WRC is available to download from Thursday, January 18, 2024 6:00 AM.

This update addresses the key issues discovered after the release of v1.4.0, preventing some players from resuming their Career Mode saves.

Our next regular update, v1.5.0, is currently in development and we will share more information and patch notes towards the end of Season 2.

Crash Fixes
Fixed an issue in which some players would experience a game crash when resuming Career.

AI
Fixed an issue in which AI performance would dramatically decrease when resuming an in-progress Career or Championship Event.

Locations
Chile - Bio Bio - Fixed an issue in which a penalty reset line was placed too close to a specific hairpin’s apex.
Chile - Pulpería - Fixed an issue in which a penalty reset line was placed too close to a specific hairpin’s apex.
Chile - María Las Cruces - Fixed an issue in which a penalty reset line was placed too close to a specific hairpin’s apex.
Chile - Las Pataguas - Fixed an issue in which a penalty reset line was placed too close to a specific hairpin’s apex.
Chile - Chivilingo - Fixed an issue in which a penalty reset line was placed too close to a specific hairpin’s apex.

Performance
Addressed an issue on console that was causing additional screen tearing in frontend menus after the v1.4.0 update.
Addressed an issue on console that was causing additional screen tearing after excessive use of the pause menu.
Performance on console should now be similar to before v1.4.0. We will continue to investigate and address performance issues on console and PC in future updates.

it took a month for this? probably shouldn't expect them to do much more with thiis game.

Edit: they have an odd way of releasing patches. so this is a hotfix of another patch?

I would recommend backing up your saves before the patch lands. Just in case.

january 18 at 6am where? its almost 22:00 in australia and almost mid day in spain and no patch yet! if is codemasters are british would be close to 11am, the only thing if is USA for example L.A is still 5am

we were meant to get it at 11.00
patch arrived at 12.00

Wow, huge patch. You can see that they really care about WRC being a good game.

I have the impression that either most of the people working on the WRC were fired or Codemaster was simply assigned to a new project, e.g. WRC for 2024.

and why would they be fired? Do you really feel like this is an error and not a current strategy? you no longer need to finish a game to sell it or put money into "correcting" it, you pay YouTubers to tell these fans to pre-order the game in collector's version with 365 season and a exclusive "finger raise" sticker, you release a few patches to ensure that the DLC can at least be sold but you concentrate the bulk of your team on the annual sequel and you start again; and it works well, people squeal a little at first but they know they can go even further ;)

this game's going to be so sick when they release the VR support and I can play the game with my cool ass rig, I'm guessing maybe by season 5 we'll probably get it.

Before this release and after nothing change.....always random game crash "Unreal engine crash" often in monte carlo in carrier mod or champoinship... i have report each (20 or 25 times..) but i think they don't read.....
