MAJOR BUG - Impossible to complete Benefactor Major Target

I started a new career after update v1.4.0, and after spending many hours trying to progress through my first season in WRC2, I noticed that none of my successful podium events for my Major Target Benefactor had registered.

Major Target : H3 (RWD) Drivers Championship of the Historic RWD European Tour

From what I understand, this seems to mean that my career season progression is basically bricked, as we need to complete all the Benefactor Targets in order to move on to the next class.

I've seen many reports of this bug on the EA forum, but I have not found other posts here. Does anyone have this issue and/or a possible workaround?

Is this issue specific to the "European" Target since it was just added to the game from what I understand?

Any help, info, or acknowledgment of this issue by the devs would be appreciated.

This is not the same issue, I'm not crashing, I just can't register the points for the Benefactor targets preventing me from progressing in the carrer.

Also, that crash is only an issue with existing carrers, mine was a new one created after the update. Nothing in that post is relevant to my issue.

Ah sorry. I haven't played the career and didn't really understand what you said but I thought that thread may encompass your problem :-)

I believe I'm having the same issue. My benefactor has given me a target to score points in an Extreme FWD championship, and although I've place 1st in each event, my benefactor screen still shows that I have zero points. I've just been hoping that the points will register when the season is over.

It won't. It seems it's happening at least with the H2 FWD Extreme Trophy and the H3 Historic RWD European Tour major targets you can get according to this thread on the EA site (https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/H2-FWD-Extreme-Trophy-no-longer-counts-towards-benefactor/m-p/13362386).

I just finished a WRC2 season winning the European Tour and failed the quest.
