Is Origin and an EA account required?
I heard this game uses Denuvo but what about Origin and EA?

However there is currently no Steam integration at all (as of Patch 1.4 December 2023), no Steam Workshop to share car setups/wheel settings etc like in DR1.

You cannot see any of the fastest times in Time Trial Mode (due to needing a Racenet account), you don't get Moments Events (kinda like Daily's in DR2) without a EA Account. And you can't join clubs without a Racenet account - which kinda restores the Daily/Weekly/Monthly as this feature is now provided via a official club run by CodeMasters.

You can also only view & compare your Time Trial & setup times/runs via the Racenet website, as this is not available within WRC23 itself for some reason.

Although currently there are epic levels of cheating going on, with < 1s stage times.

Origin doesn't exist, it's "EA app" now.

Seems to be required based on the brief search I did. All EA games bought+played through Steam or Epic require it.

edit: some had better info below = not needed then

No it doesn't require EA App, it launches directly through Steam. Racenet in the game however will need EA or other accounts for online stuff.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

Well since there's a lot of cheating, leaderboards make no sense anyway, thanks man
