Here's a very simple guide for potential buyers:
Do you want a WRC game? Buy it.
Do you want a graphics benchmark? Don't buy it.
That's it.
For me , Dirt rally 2.0 60 fps feels like drive at 60 fps.
Grid Legends 60 fps feels like drive at 80 fps.
EA WRC second last patch 60 fps feels like 30 fps. Last patch 60 fps feels like drive at 55 fps. So is much better now.
My feeling of frame in between that 60 fps is unstable. Something not smooth.
If you are not that sensitive as me , the game is playable now.
I hope future patch 60 fps = 60 fps experience.
Car reflection & Mirror drain a lot of fps not optimize yet.

It looks ok (I have videos on here and on youtube) it plays ok, but its just lacking....something. Its fun, but not as much as DR2. The damage - laughable. I blast trees and just keep rolling along... if im lucky a puncture. My hope is that it gets ironed out as things go along but its not this next level, amazing looking, game that some are touting it to be.
DR2.0 is a broken buggy mess that will never get fixed. I played it some more other day and realized WRC is superior is basically every facet. I go to Germany in DR2.0 and 2 mins in total my car because the pacenotes are broken there. Not even broken. Flat out missing!
Then you factor in the ffb is atrocious. Graphics look like an episode of the SImpsons with how cartoony everything looks. Requires me to always have an internet connection just to play my career. Or that every single car begins to slide around 20 miles per hour which is beyond unrealistic. Has fictionalized, unrealistic short stages. And performance is worse than WRC.
Yet I am to believe it's somehow a better game? Get outta here! :P
Argentina, heavy rain at night in DR2.0 with Ultra I got 10 fps heavy stuttering with my 3080. lol Lowest fps I ever get with Ultra in WRC is 120. And this game will get updates unlike DR2.0 which will forever be broken console kiddo trash.
"This game is getting review bombed for a couple reasons which is sad because this game is awesome. I have played lots of racing games, racing sims and racing management games as well as am a big fan of Codemasters. I played Dirt Rally extensively for nearly 2 years straight on the PS4 and in VR with the Occulus Rift. Dirt 2.0 feels like a sequel, it feels like one of the best racing sim's i've played and it feels like one of the best racing games period.
I can tell I will get lots of mileage out of this game. I really like the fact that this game is going to get lots of post launch content and updates, gives me a lot of hope and am totally excited for this. Ignore a lot of the reviews about it being worse than Dirt Rally or that Racenet makes the game unplayable, both are way over exaggerated. I've played all day today and not had any connectivity issues. The cars, tracks and physics all look and feel improved on from Dirt Rally. It's everything I could of hoped for really. No regrets here.
If you are in the mood to push yourself to the limit in some of the most amazing vehicles ever created, look no further. Lots of great content is on the way too for you to look forward to. I definitely recommend Dirt 2.0 at full price to anyone who likes racing games. You can't go wrong with this purchase.
I will say the tracks feel sooo amazing now that there is degredation too. Makes all other rally games I've played feel inferior. So many cool dips, grooves, bumps and jumps. This game is killer. Very very nice. Easy thumbs up for me. Sad people are being nasty and review bombing but it will mellow out soon enough, this game has legs.. big ♥♥♥♥ ones. Nothing to worry about."
If it (DR2) a broken, buggy mess then why the glowing review? Why not go back and change it? Or more importantly why not just be honest in your posts?
Then again all your posts are kissing this games ass, that its almost like you are being paid to promote it. Nothing you say seems remotely honest or based in fact. Which is what it is. Every time someone says anything remotely against your beloved game you go off and say they are "lying" - what you said to me about the dirt not showing up, or go off on some paid content-esque rant about how wonderful it is and how far superior it is..
No DR2 does not look like the simpsons, if anything WRC does on bright sunny, clear days outside photomode. And I run in ultra at 4k for both dr2 and wrc- so stop touting that as the end all fixit as you are elsewhere.
DR2 has issues, but not like WRC... Its not nearly as finished. WIll it be? I hope so. Because theres potential. I love the longer stages too. But until it gets there, its not worth buying.
I've admitted to the flaws with WRC numerous times so its not like I am not aware of them or oblivious. To the extent of them is minimal however and far overblown by many. I think the single biggest issue I see right now is the Ground Cover bug being at Ultra causing crashes at Monte. I made a bug report for it and encouraged others to report it. I am not sitting there being blind to it and pretending its not real as you are insinuating.
The hate this game gets is unreasonable for sure and I do make a point to defend it from stupid comments like "it will never get better" or "looks worse than a 2013" game. Sorry you would rather me not but I love this game and am not going to sit idly by while some of you trash it because of personal reasons or vendettas against EA.
And yeah, maybe I should change my DR2.0 review. Good thinking! I don't recommend it anymore so I guess I should change that aspect. Looks aside, it has some very poor design choices like cars sliding at low speeds, poor performance at ultra, broken pace notes and archaic ffb that provides zero info to what your car is doing.
WRC is a good game and its only a few months out in the wild. It's already in a better shape than DR2.0 and has more content. I am excited for the future! Am not sorry if that bothers you.
Theres defending and then theres the level of rabid defense you are on. You calling people liars, or claiming their issues dont exist or arent as bad as you perceive them to be is hysterical. Your comments everywhere make it seem like you are paid to blow smoke up people's asses about this game.
The community has voted : BAD GAME, nest please.
No one ever gets called out for blindly hating on this game and accused of working for x company or insulted or w/e but dear lord, be ready if you defend it. Talk about rabid. Music stops and pitch forks come out if you speak up. This is why I hate speaking up for WRC but feel its the right thing to do. Feels criminal to sit by when I paid $40 and amassed over 400 hrs of gameplay (pure rally bliss) to not say anything.
I'd rather just come here talk about WRC gameplay, help others, maybe chat real life WRC and have fun but nope. Those of us who like it have to contend with nonsense threads like this and being personally attacked and insulted for saying anything positive. A small price to pay I suppose for the many wonderful hours of entertainment this game has granted me I guess lol
Anyways I have nothing more to say to you since seems you'd rather turn this into something personal and unrelated to the discussion at hand. Have a good rest of your week.
People have legitimate reasons to be displeased with the game. They have documented it clearly, provided evidence, and tried user created fixes to no avail. No one is blindly hating. And that is EXACTLY related to the discussion at hand.
But the "right thing to do" , criminal to not speak up?...really? Its a GAME ffs... we get it, you dont have issues. Yay for you.. want a trophy or something? Theres a good number of people who do have issues (oh and looking into further user posted screenshots, the dirt is missing from most of them...) and who are annoyed about it. Again, EXACTLY related...
When people post their experiences and provide evidence as such, its not a personal attack. Its backing up their claim. Thats the first thing you are taught in school about writing a persuasive essay. But for you to call people liars, or to insult them claiming that they dont have the settings the way they should, or any of the other underhanded digs at comments I have seen you post towards others - THOSE are personal attacks... even with your massive level of phony friendliness.
Like I said, no one is saying anything bad about those who like the game - Hell I like it. I enjoy it, but I have reservations about recommending it - because of a bunch of reasons which I have posted about.. Yet, Im not being attacked, or "pitchforked" as you claim to be.
But I am also not trying to shove my narrative down anyone's throat like you are.
