Now I can't play Career mode! (Patch 1.4)

Ever since patch 1.4, the game crashes immediately on selecting Career mode. All i have to do to reproduce is click "Career" at the main menu. Literally that's it. It just won't load career mode, crashes, and sends me to the UE4 crash reporter.

At this point it's pretty clear to me that this article is true. ( https://insider-gaming.com/codemasters-developer-of-f1-and-wrc-hit-with-layoffs/ ) Laying off people from your QA team is showing really badly right now, and I won't be buying another Codemasters title in the future.

Did anyone at Codemasters actually press the "Career" button once before going live with this update? Please tell me you did. (Or, if a dev is reading, just write unit tests for ♥♥♥♥♥ sake...)

same here. ran steam both with and without admin and it just crashes the moment i go to continue carer mode.

I'm starting a new career and waiting to see what happens when the benefactor hits 100% because that's when the game started to crash on me in career mode. That's the way I'm troubleshooting this problem. I know you lose all of your progress but I think they swiped the entire game for the patch.

The game crash in the first stage of career mode (Les Borels), I try the same stage in the time attack and crashed. I try another stage (same rally) in time attack and work good

Yep .. same issue ... looks like the Update wiped not just settings but career data too . Voiding all or needed data for Career mode to run . We all may need to start a new Career !

Hadn't played in a few days, waiting for the patch. Expecting the worse I resumed my career just now and it picked up where I left off. Luckily it seems to have saved progress and I'm moving on to Kenya from Sardinia.

same issue, I downloaded 1.4, continued career, played one stage and it was end event. Then before coming back to the menu it crashed and now it crashes every time after just trying to continue the career.

Almost same issue here.
At least i could load my career once but after finishing 1 Rally the game crashed and now i also cant load into my career cuz of the crashes.

I haven't tried career yet but I set up a custom rally at monte carlo and the game crashes when I get 1.5 miles into the second stage of the rally. To be honest I should have known that Codemasters getting a WRC game wouldn't be great. GRID 2019 has crashed for me ever since the last update they did to it and a few F1 titles had issues from launch day that were never fixed. Mostly audio bugs but still... it isn't that hard to playtest updates before putting them live.
